The Center for Control Science & Technology was formed at the University of Texas at Dallas to provide a suitable entity to accommodate the growing size of our group whose researchers have activity in the general areas of control science and technology. In the beginning, the primary purpose for organizing such an umbrella organization is for developing and organizing relevant curriculum, foster joint proposals and research, recruit excellent graduate students, and serve to promote UT Dallas systems and control to the outside world. In addition to traditional areas of systems and control theory, the CCST supports activities in operations research, and in application areas such as robotics, healthcare systems, energy systems, automotive systems, and biomedical systems research.
Although housed in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at UT Dallas, the CCST is a cross-cutting center with participants from the Naveen Jindal School of Management, and from the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Please visit the individual web pages of those Schools to learn more.
