About: Monica Jung de Andrade received her B.S. in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), M.S.in Materials Engineering Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineer from the Université Paul Sabatier (France) and Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). Her research interests are dry-draw of carbon nanotube sheets and spinning of yarns, nanostructured materials as building blocks for nano-/micro devices, study of (bio-) chemical and physical properties of nanostructured materials

About: Dr. Erika Fuentes-Fernandez is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Autonomous University of Coahuila in 2008. In fall 2008, she started her doctorate studies in Materials Science and Engineering at University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), Richardson, TX. She received her Ph. D. degree in August 2013. Dr. Fuentes Fernandez has authored and co-authored six publications in peer-reviewed journals, one patent granted and one patent pending, and have given twenty-two contributed talks and six invited talks. Dr. Fuentes-Fernandez is a member of the Materials Research Society, where she holds an officer position on the MRS-UTDallas chapter, American Vacuum Society and Network of Mexican Talents Living Abroad. Her main areas of research interest are thin film synthesis, and development of inorganic/organic thin film-based devices for energy technologic applications.
