Educational highlights
I liked it all, but if I had to pick one thing it would be the senior design classes. You get to work with your classmates and professor for an entire year putting to work all the things you learned in classes.
My favorite instructor was Dr. Lehmann. He cares about his students, and he understands what we need, educating us for the real world. He is also fun to talk to, and he listens to us.
Internship
I worked as a summer intern at Cisco Systems in San Jose, Calif.
Long-term plans
Work for a few years and then come back to UT Dallas for my MBA.
Final thoughts
I transferred from Richland College and finished at UT Dallas. I think it’s important to spend time talking to your professors, to join clubs and get involved in school activities, and to make friends. I co-founded the UT Dallas Biomedical Engineering Network, and right now I am working at Cisco Systems in Richardson, Texas, prior to joining Raytheon.
