ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCE SUMMITS
SUMMIT DATES
FALL SEMESTER 2008
TBA
Location:
TI Auditorium (Directions), Engineering & Computer Science Complex
Start Time:
8:30 AM
EVENT SUMMARY
Created originally by the founders of Texas Instruments, UTD has a rich technological heritage and the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science ranks as one of the best schools of its type. We invite students and parents to explore the opportunities that the Jonsson School offers. Hear about college life, student organizations and co-op programs from UTD student leaders. Listen to representatives from high-tech businesses discuss the rich relationships between UTD and internationally-known computer science, telecommunications and electronics industries.
UTD faculty will provide an overview of the undergraduate degree plans, fast-track programs into graduate school, and academic advising. Everyone will have the opportunity to take a campus tour that includes an in-depth look at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a visit to a model room in the Waterview Park Apartments, UTD’s on-campus housing.
In addition, seniors who apply at a Summit will save $50 toward the cost of their application fee and, upon acceptance to the university, automatically be considered for UTD’s Academic Excellence Scholarship program.
Summits are open to all high school juniors and seniors with an interest in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering and telecommunications engineering
