10 a.m.-2 p.m.
UT Dallas Campus
Come celebrate National Engineers Week with UT Dallas! Join us for family-friendly hands-on activities, educational demos, and fascinating tech talks by our leading faculty and local engineering companies and organizations. Scouting groups can earn fun patches, while middle and high school students can learn about what it means to study the exciting field of engineering.
Faculty will speak about topics such as: What are the different engineering majors? What kind of research does a UTD professor engage in? What types of careers can engineers expect? These are a series of 15 minute presentations about majors and research at UTD. Following the presentation, the professor will be available for Q&A.
We will have the TAME Trailblazer, brought in by the Texas Alliance of Minority Engineers. TAME's traveling Trailblazers are one-of-a-kind science museums-on-wheels. Exciting, hands-on exhibits teach students about energy, space, weather, biotechnology, and aerodynamics while also introducing them to educational and career opportunities in STEM. Students can expect to take 30-45 minutes.
